Description

First we head west, where we explore the charming hidden town of Masca, located in the heart of the Teno area. Here, we have time to capture some photographs and enjoy a brief rest next to the local church, which is located next to a beautiful and robust ficus tree that is several centuries old. We continue our journey to the next destination, Los Carrizales<.>, where we have the opportunity to take a short walk. In addition, we travel the winding road that crosses the mountain and arrive at the northern side of the island, where local agricultural activity clearly stands out. The next stop is the town of Garachico, which was completely rebuilt after being devastated by the lava flow of the Black Volcano in 1706. Here, we have time to explore the ancient castle of San Miguel, the Santa Ana church and the park, where we can admire an old wine press. Afterwards, we headed to the picturesque Chirche viewpoint for a brief break and to capture some images. We continue our tour until we reach a 500-year-old lava flow from the “Boca Cangrejo” volcano, overlooking the neighboring island of La Gomera. Afterwards, we advance a little further into the Teide National Park, arriving at a place where we can take a short walk to the crater of the Samara volcano. We also passed by the ancient peak of Teide, known as “the Old Peak“, with its extensive lava field that formed just over 200 years ago. Then, we arrive at the most impressive place in the park, near the famous García rocks, where we have time to take beautiful photographs. On the other side of the rocks, at the Parador del Teide, there is a cafe and a charming souvenir shop. On the way back south, we stop at a beautiful viewpoint that offers views of several volcanoes and the extensive pine forest. In the town of Vilaflor, we found “El Pino Gordo“, the oldest and largest pine tree, for our last photo stop. Finally, we take a short drive through the Abono wine region before returning to your hotel.
