Discover the south coast of Fuerteventura from the water on a kayak trip along the La Lajita shoreline, an active experience that lets you paddle close to the coast and take in its volcanic landscapes, cliffs and beaches from a completely different angle.

The activity is designed both for people trying kayaking for the first time and for those who already have some experience. No previous knowledge is needed: before you get into the water you’ll be given all the instructions you need to handle the kayak and enjoy the route safely. It’s a particularly good choice for couples, friends and families with children aged 6 and over who want to combine nature, sport and sea during their holiday in Fuerteventura.

Arrival and preparation

The activity starts in the La Lajita area, where you’ll meet the team and get everything ready before heading into the water.

Briefing

Before you set off, the instructor will explain how the kayak works, the correct way to paddle and the basic safety rules.

Start of the kayak route

Once you’re ready, you’ll get into the water and start paddling along the coast. The route runs beside the rocky shoreline of southern Fuerteventura.

Along the coastline

Along the way you’ll take in the cliffs, volcanic formations and beaches from the sea. The kayak lets you get close to stretches of coast that offer a very different perspective from the one you get on land.

Return

Once you’ve completed the route, you’ll paddle back to the starting point in La Lajita.

🚐 Pick-ups and meeting points

The activity departs from La Lajita.

There is also a free pick-up service from selected hotels and apartments in southern Fuerteventura, covering areas such as Morro Jable, Jandía, Esquinzo, Costa Calma, La Lajita, Tarajalejo and Gran Tarajal.

If your accommodation is outside the pick-up areas, you’ll need to make your own way to La Lajita.

When booking, it’s important to give your accommodation details correctly so we can check whether it falls within the available pick-up zone.
