Embark on an exclusive wine tour in Tenerife that begins in the historic Villa de Vilaflor, one of the highest villages in the Canary Islands. Following the ancient Camino Real (Royal Road), you will enjoy spectacular views of the south of the island and the neighbouring islands.
You will visit the Trevejos plateau, home to some of the oldest vineyards in Europe, grown on unique volcanic soils. You will get to know two family wineries of the D.O. Abona, where you will speak directly with the local farmers and taste their award-winning fruity white wines, rosés and reds, free from chemicals and artificial sugars, paired with delicious local tapas.
These are carbonic or traditionally fermented wines, made with grapes from centuries-old vines of local varieties such as Listán (white and black), highly aromatic and perfectly adapted to the mineral-rich volcanic soils, which give these wines a unique character that is easy to appreciate and enjoy.
