Description

On this excursion through the south of the island, you will discover the most authentic flavors of Tenerife and its admired and renowned wines.

We will start our day with a visit to a banana plantation: Finca Las Margaritas. There, you will learn about the cultivation of our star fruit, the banana. You will take a tour of the plantation, where they will explain how bananas were grown in the past, how gofio is made, and you will taste products made with banana, gofio, and palm honey, as well as other tropical fruits. Our second stop will be one of the two most recognized wineries on the island: Mencey de Chasna. We will have a guided tour of the winery, its facilities, and machinery, where you will learn all about the wine-making process. After this visit, we will have a wine tasting. We will continue our journey, enjoying the wonderful views along the mountain road to Vilaflor. There, we will arrive at Lagar de Chasna, where we will enjoy a wine tasting during a delicious lunch featuring the best of Canarian cuisine. Finally, we will conclude our excursion at an aloe vera farm in Arona, where we will visit its organic plantations and discover how the natural gel from this plant, which has numerous health benefits, is cultivated and obtained.
