Description

This excursion starts in the charming town of Candelaria, renowned for its beautiful basilica. Here, you can admire the residence of the ancient Guanche kings, located next to the original lava beach. We will then head north through the recognized wine region, making a stop in the picturesque village of El Sauzal. The next stop at the Humboldt viewpoint will offer you an impressive view of the Orotava Valley, followed by lunch in the town of La Orotava, where we will explore its highlights, such as Victoria Park and the botanical garden. Afterwards, we will arrive in the town of Icod de los Vinos for a photo opportunity by the famous Dragon Tree, the Drago Milenario. Here, you’ll have the chance to taste local products in a free tasting, including wine and cactus fig jam. On our way back south, we will stop at the Garachico viewpoint, a town that was destroyed by a lava flow in 1706.
