Description
First, we head west to explore the charming hidden village of Masca, located in the heart of the Teno area. We continue our journey to the next destination, Los Carrizales, where we have the opportunity to take a short walk. The next stop is the village of Garachico, which was completely rebuilt after being devastated by the lava flow from the black volcano in 1706. Afterwards, we head to the picturesque viewpoint of Chirche for a brief pause and to capture some photos. We continue our route to a 500-year-old lava flow from the “Boca Cangrejo” volcano, with views of the neighboring island of La Gomera. After that, we advance a bit further into the Teide National Park, reaching a spot where we can take a short walk to the crater of the Samara volcano. We also pass by the ancient peak of Teide, known as “Pico Viejo,” with its extensive lava field formed just over 200 years ago. Finally, we arrive at the most impressive place in the park, near the famous Roques de García. On the way back south, we stop in the village of Vilaflor.
