Description
This excursion will take you from the modern city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to the historic charm of La Laguna and finally into the interior of the Anaga Rural Park, designated a Biosphere Nature Reserve. You will discover a typical seaside hamlet on a journey full of contrasts that will reveal the rich history of the island. We will begin our journey in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island and the main maritime connection point in the Canary Islands. Here, you will be able to admire outstanding buildings such as the Tenerife Auditorium, as well as avant-garde constructions such as Plaza de España or Plaza Weyler. We will continue to La Laguna, the first city founded in Tenerife after its conquest and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. We will explore on foot its picturesque streets, steeped in history and culture. We will continue on to the impressive Anaga Massif. In this natural area, you will find one of Europe’s most valuable treasures: the laurel forest from the Tertiary period. Descending towards the beautiful northeast coast of the island, you will reach the hamlet of Taganana, known for its natural beauty and views of the ocean and cliffs. Here, you will have free time to stroll around, have lunch and enjoy the Canarian gastronomy.
