Description

We start our tour exploring the old capital, La Laguna, protected by UNESCO since 1999. We visit the local farmers’ market, where you will find a variety of produce, especially the many varieties of Canarian potatoes. We then head to the renowned Las Mercedes forest, starting our walk at Cruz del Carmen, enjoying 360º panoramic views. Here, spring lasts all year round, creating a surprisingly green environment. In the Anaga region , we pause for a picnic overlooking the charming town of Taganana. We continue to the northern tip of the island, arriving at Playa del Roque de las Bodegas, known for its local wine. After a short photo break, we head back through the Anaga Mountains to the south, where we find the beach of Las Teresitas, built with sand from the Sahara desert. Here, you can take a stroll or enjoy a coffee on the pleasant terraces overlooking the sea and palm trees. We pass through the capital, Santa Cruz, with its imposing harbour, home to huge cruise ships. Our last stop is in the town of Candelaria, known for its basilica with the Black Virgin, inaugurated in 1959. Also, in this town, the ancient Guanche kings have their residence, close to the black lava beach and a picturesque shopping street. Finally, we return south on the motorway via the Reina Sofia International Airport to your hotel.
