We will depart from the Port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife and take the ferry to San Sebastian de La Gomera, the capital of the island. There, we will board the bus to visit our first stop: the Valley of Hermigua. We’ll continue the journey passing through La Palmita and reach Agulo. There, you’ll have time to have lunch at a typical restaurant and, if availability allows, witness a live demonstration of the Gomera whistle language. After lunch, we will start ascending to the Garajonay National Park, a laurel forest paradise and a UNESCO World Heritage natural reserve. We’ll make a special stop at Laguna Grande, where you can explore the surroundings where the ancient witches of the island are said to have gathered. On the way back, we’ll stop to admire the imposing Roque de Agando, an impressive and rugged formation of volcanic lava. Finally, we’ll return to San Sebastian, where you can see the last historical remnants of Christopher Columbus’ passage before his departure to the American Continent, such as the Tower of the Count or Columbus’ House.
