The catamaran casts off from the quay in Puerto del Carmen and heads south. As soon as you are out they greet you with a mojito and a tapa of papas arrugadas with mojo, and from there the plan is simple: deck, sun and the coast slipping slowly past.
The crossing follows the Papagayo beaches, that group of pale-sand coves protected by the Los Ajaches natural monument. The boat anchors in an area close to Punta de Papagayo and that is where the clock stops: clear water to swim in and kayaks for a paddle.
Meanwhile lunch is prepared on board, paella or pasta with papas arrugadas with mojo and fresh fruit, with an open bar of beer, sangría, water and soft drinks. The guide is with you in your language throughout the trip.
