Description
This tour starts in the charming town of Candelaria, noted for its beautiful basilica and the presence of the Black Virgin. Here, you can also admire the residence of the ancient Guanche kings, located next to the original lava beach. We leave the ancient capital, La Laguna, heading north through the renowned wine region, stopping at the picturesque village of El Sauzal. From this point, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the terraces that once served for the export of tropical fruits, sugar and tomatoes. We stop at the park of Los Lavaderos for a short walk, and you will have the opportunity to relax in a charming terrace bar, where you can enjoy a good local coffee: the barraquito. The next stop at the Humboldt viewpoint will give you a breathtaking view of the Orotava Valley, followed by lunch in the town of La Orotava, where we will explore its highlights, such as the Victoria Park and the botanical garden behind the beautiful classical Spanish town hall. Afterwards, we will arrive in the town of Icod de los Vinos for a photo break next to the famous tree, the Drago Milenario. Here you will have the opportunity to taste local products at a free tasting, including wine and cactus fig jam. On our way back south, we will stop at the viewpoint of Garachico, a village that was destroyed by a lava flow in 1706. Finally, we will continue our comfortable tour around the island until we reach your hotel.
